I recently went on a road trip throughout the Southwestern part of the United States, and was amazed by all of the gorgeous scenery that I saw. One city in particular that offers the best of both worlds is Albuquerque, NM. Here you have the luxury of great restaurants and lots of shopping, with all of natures amenities at your door step. It is sunny here 310 days per year, which makes this location ideal for someone who enjoys outdoor activities.

If your are debating a trip to the Southwest for your next physical or occupational therapy assignment- DO IT!! If you have never been to this part of the country it's something that you have to experience. Another great thing about being in Albuquerque is that you are close to many other hot destinations as well. Which means you could easily do a weekend trip to Santa Fe, or Southern,CO.
