Two blogs in a row about healthcare careers:

I came across this interesting article from the Bureau of Labor Statistics: http://stats.bls.gov/opub/ooq/2008/summer/art03.pdf.

When I tell people we recruit for rehabilitation jobs, at least they have a general idea what physical therapists or occupational therapists do. But, until i started working with speech language pathology professionals, I didn't know how much of their time is spent with swallowing disorders.

Therapists, what do you think is the misunderstood part of your job by laymen? What do you wish the general public knew about your therapy jobs?
