As you all may know (or have figured out) not only do I handle credentialing but I also help with the licensing application process.
One of our traveling Occupational Therapists let his New Mexico license lapse a few years ago and now wants to go back to work in NM. He wanted me to find out the quickest, cheapest, easiest way of going about reinstatement.
Yesterday afternoon I had the pleasure of speaking with Steve Oliver the New Mexico Occupational Therapy Board administrator. He was very helpful and very knowledgeable! He was able to give me some insider scoop (I promise he told me that the New Mexico Occupational Therapy board is very liberal when it comes to CEUs). Thanks for your time Steve!
When you are considering travel therapy jobs in a new state (or state you used to work in) don't discount contacting the board administrator. They are there to help you- and are great at their job! You never know what kind of assistance or advice they can give you.

I would like to see what it's take and how long it'd be to reinstate my TN license that I let lapse in 2001 or 2003 (I cannot remember the exact year). I know they have a lot of things to go through with modalities certification, but can I get licensed without being cert for modalities?
